About
This workshop has been designed specifically for teachers, therapists, integration aides, and allied health professionals working in specialist school environments who want practical, evidence-based tools to bring the power of play into their classrooms.
Please note that Learn To Play Therapy Part 1 is a prerequisite for attending this workshop, as this workshop focuses on the practical implementation of Learn To Play in specialist school settings. We’ll be building on your existing knowledge of the developmental levels of pretend play and the PPEDC framework, so some familiarity with these foundations is recommended before joining. To get the most out of this session, participants should be at the stage of beginning to experiment with Learn To Play — feeling confident enough to engage with children in small group contexts.
WORKSHOP OUTLINE
- Background & literature — The evidence base for Learn To Play Therapy in specialist school settings, including key research findings on pretend play, language, social skills, and academic competence in neurodivergent children.
- Barriers and key considerations when implementing Learn To Play Therapy within school systems.
- Implementation within specialist schools — Practical guidance on how to embed Learn To Play within the curriculum framework.
- Play assessment in specialist schools and designing Learn To Play sessions (both in the classroom and within designated play spaces)
- Q & A — Live question and answer session with Dr Chloe Wadley.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
To receive a full refund please advise your cancellation 8 or more days prior to the commencement of the workshop.
Cancellations made within 7 days prior to the commencement of the workshop will be refunded 50% of the original workshop fee paid.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours before the commencement of the workshop.
Learn To Play Therapy reserves the right to cancel the workshop and issue a full refund of the workshop fee to registrant.
